Welcome to the Brentwood Diocesan Music website. You’ll notice that we’ve used ‘Diocesan’ to reflect the intentions of the Music Department in supporting music making and further training for the Diocese.
We plan to include reviews of recent musical events from around the Diocese, music news, and forthcoming events. This is where we need your help! Let me add my welcome to that of Andrew. I'm looking forward to keeping the site up to date with all that's going on in the Diocese, musically speaking. I would love to hear from you about what is happening in your parish, what you would like from us, and how we can help you.
I would also like to get a picture of music in our parishes. It would be good to know about your choirs, music groups and organists. Please also let me know who runs the music in your church, and, if you don't mind, contact details for him or her.
Another area I would like to update is the Organ Survey we carried out many years ago. Please let me know all about the instrument you have, the make, age, stop list, condition etc.
I am committed to help train the current and next generations of organists, so if I can help your parish in any way, please contact me. I will be adding training videos to this site in due course, plus other information, so do keep checking back.
If you need an organist for a particular service or event, and would like help in finding one please let us know and we'll try to help.
